“Walking was no longer painful. It was wonderful getting a good night’s sleep for the first time in many months! “
“Just a few sessions of dry needling by my physical therapist, Kelly Letellier at Southeastern Physical Therapy, has relieved pain in my backside that I’d been living with for over 18 months! Since my hip replacement in Jan. 2014, I experienced intermittent episodes of pain in my backside. It became progressively worse. By the time I visited my orthopedic surgeon this April, the pain was beyond tolerable. I couldn’t cross my legs, walk up flight of stairs, walk any distance at all without experiencing pain. The pain even began to wake me up in the middle of the night.
Pain killers did nothing. Prednisone was a waste of time and money. Physical therapy helped somewhat, but not enough to be acceptable to me. Kelly suggested dry needling and I am BEYOND delighted that she did. After about 3 sessions I was walking up the 30 steps to my office each morning with no discomfort whatsoever! Walking was no longer painful. It was wonderful getting a good night’s sleep for the first time in many months!
I had problems with the muscles in my thigh after my other hip was replaced in 2009. I had a lot of pain when I’d raise my leg to apply the break when I was driving. The only way I could drive comfortably was to roll up a bath towel and place it under my thigh. After one dry needling session I began to drive pain free without the towel for the first time in over 6 years.
I’ve told several friends about my great experience. One of my friends is currently having therapy and dry needling with Kelly. I’m going to send a letter similar to this to my orthopedic surgeon. Hopefully, relating my experience to him will help other hip replacement patients. I know I can’t be the only one who has had these issues. I may be the only one who was persistent and found a solution! I’m SO glad I did!
I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have found SPT and Kelly with her expertise in dry needling.”

I certainly thank you for your kind words regarding your care at Southeastern Physical Therapy! We are certainly blessed to have great clinicians like Kelly and yes…she and our other PT’s have helped many patients with Dry needling techniques.
I appreciate your enthusiasm to tell your doctor and others!! A lot of doctors are not aware of what we can do to alleviate chronic pain, so its good for them to hear!
I truly appreciate the time you took to reach me– I am also thankful to Kelly for her excellent care and patient outcomes!
