The Spine and Aquatic Center is conveniently located accross from Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and within 3 minutes walking distance of the HRT Battlefield & Knells Ridge Bus Stop.

This clinic provides land or water therapy or a combination of the two depending on your physical therapy needs. The pool at the Spine and Aquatic Center is kept at a comfortable temperature to assist with your rehabilitation. McKenzie Certified therapists work with patients to assess back, neck and extremity problems and develop treatment plans individualized to each patient at this location. This clinic also provides dry needling with a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist.

Lauren Duffy
Lauren is a physical therapist who works at the Spine and Aquatic Center location. She received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Athletic Training and she continues to hold her athletic training certification. She received her doctorate in physical therapy from Shenandoah University. Lauren has experience working with patients in both an acute care and outpatient setting. She enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic conditions including geriatrics, sports injuries and pre- and post-operative. She has a special interest in treating patients with vertigo and balance disorders. Lauren enjoys assisting patients throughout the rehabilitation process and helping them achieve their maximum level of potential while in physical therapy.

Kelly earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from West Virginia University in 2006 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2014. Kelly has over a decade of experience in treating patients with orthopedic dysfunction. Additionally, she specializes in treating patients with chronic pain, myofascial pain and patients with head/neck/facial pain and temporomandibular disorder. Kelly has training in many areas of physical therapy- manual therapy/spinal manipulation, trigger point dry needling, craniomandibular dysfunction, the McKenzie method, chronic pain/pain science, neural mobilization, myofascial release, pelvic floor dysfunction, Stott Pilates and extremity rehabilitation.Kelly holds two advanced professional certifications. She obtained her Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2011 and certified in the dry needling course program of Myopain Seminars and earned the title Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) in 2013. She is currently pursuing Certification in Cranio-mandibular, Head, Neck, & Facial Pain through the University of St. Augustine (CFC) as well as taking the CRAFTA course program through the European Cranio Facial Therapy Academy.

Cindy received her Bachelors of Science in Media Studies from Radford University and her PTA degree from Tidewater Community College and received her Clinical Instructor Credentials with APTA. Cindy has gained her experience in working over 10 years in Outpatient Physical Therapy settings. She enjoys a wide variety of patient populations. From sports related injuries and weekend warriors, to post surgical rehab, she is passionate about helping people get back to what they enjoy most. She also performs pre work screens and work conditioning programs to help those injured to return to work. Through aquatic therapy she has been able to promote a healthy rehabilitation for patients after major back and lower extremity surgeries and patients suffering from chronic pain.

Joseph Ryan
Joseph is a licensed physical therapist assistant at the Spine and Aquatic Center. Joseph received his B.S. in Human Performance and Exercise Science from the University of Mobile in 2007 and his Associate degree in physical therapy from Bishop State Community College in 2010. Joseph has experience treating various orthopedic conditions and injuries, including pre/post surgical rehab, treatment of the spine, and sports injuries. Joseph enjoys treatment of the spine and extremites utilizing MDT principles and has sucessfully completed McKenzie courses A through D.
