
The Vestibular Therapy Program of Southeastern Physical Therapy offers comprehensive treatment programs for a variety of disorders for men and women. Some diagnoses for which physical therapy treatments are provided include BPPV, vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis, Meniere’s disease, perilymphatic fistula, acoustic neruomas, and bilateral vestibular hypofunction, as well as other associated central and peripheral involvement. BPPV, Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, accounts for 50% of all dizziness symptoms in the older adult population. The current treatment of choice for BPPV are repositioning maneuvers and studies show it is effective for treatment of vertigo in 70-95% of tested patients.
